In the fall of 1999 Benjamin Watts, at age seven, killed his first duck. A Wood Duck Susie who made the fatal mistake of landing directly in front of us. 

This sculpture was inspired by a picture of Benjamin taken that morning by his uncle, Dr. Tom Watts. Hunters that morning included his Dad, his uncle Doc and his cousin Thomas Watts. The spot? Oh we were hunting that honey hole right next to that leaning tree, you know the one down the road from that iron bridge.
